Employment
The right to full employment means that everyone who is willing and able to work should have the opportunity to do so, without facing discrimination or unfair barriers. It's about ensuring that there are enough job opportunities available for everyone in society, regardless of their background or circumstances. This right emphasizes not just any job, but decent and meaningful work that provides fair wages, job security, and opportunities for advancement. It's seen as a fundamental aspect of human dignity and economic justice, aiming to create a society where everyone can contribute to and benefit from the economy.
The Article 23 of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights (UDHR) guarantees everyone "the right to work, to free employment, to just and favourable conditions of work and to protection against unemployment."
